Does Palliative Chemotherapy Improve Symptoms in Women with Recurrent Ovarian Cancer? Measuring subjective improvement as well as objective response to estimate the benefit of palliative chemotherapy in women with platinum resistant or refractory ovarian cancer.

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death in women with gynecological malignancies in the Western World and an important cause of cancer related deaths in women.

Trial Description

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death in women with gynecological malignancies in the Western World and an important cause of cancer related deaths in women. The majority of women present with advanced disease and following debulking surgery receive platinum based chemotherapy, typically carboplatin and paclitaxel for 6 cycles.
